Life is Beautiful

Designer pal Helen has trekked off once again to the US to attend a trade show  but this time it's all the more exciting for her as she gets to show off her gorgeous new range of fabric "Life is Beautiful" and what better way to show it off than in some of her own designs.
A few of her stitching buddies were whipping up goodies before she left and I got to make her "Inspired to Stitch Sewing Kit"
A simple mixture of embroidery and applique, this project is quick to whip up.
If your local quilt store wants to know where to purchase these fabrics, they're made by Red Rooster Fabrics and Two Green Zebras in Australia can help them out!

The post graduate course I'm doing has already paid off, on Monday I got a Management job! I officially start next Monday!

We had a chilly night last night, first dump of snow for winter fell on the mountain  hill (compared to other countries). It's a lovely sight though. This picture is taken from my employer's depot yard.
So what's a girl to do on a chilly night...STITCH!
a bit of progress made on Life is Beautiful!

Finish

I've finally finished An Angel's Story, the top that is! After much procrastinating I've finally put those last few stitches in and now it's ready for quilting Yippee!
It really needs and iron but I was in such a rush to show you the ironing could wait!

Vikki's giveawy prize arrived so you can pop over here and check out the tote bag I made especially for her.
And I also sent a surprise to Bec, go and check it out!

I've made a start on Life is Beautiful, gorgeous quilt by my lovely friend Helen
again with the no ironing but I had to show you my weekends work. I'm going to complete this quilt using French General's Rural Jardin fabrics.

Did you all have busy weekends and get much stitching done?
