I'm underway!!

What a busy weekend I had, finished off Dimity and have 3 more angels ready for stitching. I love this kind of applique, quick and easy. Hardest part is deciding which fabric to use.
I've spent the last two days learning about "Water Sensitive Urban Design" which includes wetlands, sedimention basins, bioretention and lots of hydraulic equations. My brain is mush so tonight I'm going to just stitch and let my brain relax!

It's Here!!!

A parcel arrived today ....

With all these little packages inside, wonder who it is from ......Finally it is reavealed "Icannaetell" is none other than Trashalou!!

I suspect she chose this postcard for a reason since I live in none other than Tasmania, the place where convicts were sent (Lucky convicts is all I say!)

And look what all the parcels contained......

All this lovely goodness has bought a super big smile to my face. A big thank-you goes out to Trashalou for being so generous and such a fun swap partner and also to Linda for hosting this swap! That also finalises my PIF's as Trashalou is my first participant!!

An Angels Story

I've joined Stina's group of lovely ladies in completing the top of this gorgeous quilt by 30th September and binding and quilting by January. It's a big ask since I've only just bought the book but I do love challenges. So if you're interested in learning more about this challenge pop over to Stina's by clicking on the Angels Story button and pop back soon to see how I'm going!

Tin Pincushion

I've been asked if I'll share how to make the Tin Pincushion that I made for Linda's swap.

I found a tutorial on the internet by The Twisted Sister , it took me a couple of goes to get it right. I used a hot glue gun rather than tacky glue.
It makes a great gift for a stitching friend or even for your own table. The angel stitchery is from somewhere else.

My Pincushion Swap Partner

Well it's out, my secret swap partner was Linda. She's just received the package I sent so bloghop over and take a look at my creation. I'm still waiting for my Secret Swapper to reveal herself. She even went to the trouble of setting up a secret blog and a secret email address. I wonder who it will be? Hhhhmmmm......

Noah's Ark - The July Pair

I can't believe I'm keeping up with the Noah's Ark Blocks, but then they are so quick and easy to do. Here's the latest ones - Elephants. I wonder which other animals Noah is going to take on this journey?

Thank-you Lynette for sharing this BOM with us!

Mini Quilt

Lucy Lockets has finally received my mini quilt.
I had so much fun making this.
