Tuesday's Treasures

I can't believe it's Tuesday again already, seems like only yesterday I was sitting at my desk and now it's that time again to show our Tuesday's Treasures as hosted by Clare.
After chatting with Kraftypanda last week about our Treasures we decided that this week we'd show our Opals. I received this necklace from my Dad when I was about 10. It's the only present I remember him making a big deal about because he had actually chosen it himself. I'm not sure if it's real opal but it's precious to me.
Dad passed away from cancer in 1995, he got to see one grandchild and now he has 8. I'm sure he'd be proud of how well his children and grandchildren are doing.
I miss you Dad!

It's beautiful! I love that it has a gold heart around it, so sweet! Don;t you just love that dark blue with the hint of green? Your Dad must have liked it to have bought it for you, and loved that you love it too, which makes it extra special!
