I forgot to also mention to visit Nancy's blog, she has received the rescue package I sent for the Advent Swap after her partner failed to deliver.  We don't know what has happened in this lady's life to prevent her from fullfilling her promise but I would like to see her return Nancy's goods.

A Thank-you and choosing how to help the Haitians

The lovely Peg sent me a gift for co-hosting the Xmas Advent Swap, it's gorgeous. Thank-you Peg, even though Xmas is over I'm going to leave it hanging for awhile so I can enjoy it.

The stitchery is from Gail Pan's blog, one I had saved to do but now I don't have to!

This week I've put together a block for another Snugglybug Quilt, I'm waiting for the remainder to arrive so I can assemble the quilt top and then forward it on for quilting.

I enjoy doing these as I know they are going to children at our local hospital. I pray that they get through whatever illness they have and lead happy, healthy lives.

There's so many charities out there we can support but the big fundraising drive at the moment of course is for the Haitians. There are many ways we can all contribute, Craft Hope and other Etsy sellers, online auctions and monetary contributions. I'm still yet to do my bit and just now I'm just trying to decide which charity to support and who'll use my money the best way to help.

Wow! Maree has given me a project that has been on my to do list for ages. It's a gorgeous stitchery from Annie Downs' book "A Christmas Story". Maree's handiwork is superb and I'm so lucky to own it.

Advent Swap - 11th December

Day 11 and Maree gave me a beautiful scissor keeper and some scissors. It's a  great pocket for protecting my scissors! Thanks Maree.

Last night my son's school had their Primary Showcase, it was a wonderful event, lots of fabulous performances. The Grade 3 class was a standout performing "The Grade 3 Blues".

There was lots of clapping when my son's Year 6 group performed to a Kiss song, they looked fabulous in their costumes!

My son was the drummer (on the right).

They've only got 4 more days of primary school and next year he'll be heading to high school. They grow up far too quickly :-(
