I've ventured into the world of designing, not sure if this is where I want to go but my dear friend Fee suggested I come up with something for the Hobart Craft Show. I thought I'd start small. I don't care if I don't sell any patterns, the process has been fun.
So here's my first pattern "Trinkets"
I love small quick projects, these include a little bit of applique, stitcheries, piecing, buttons and ric-rac.
I've used fabric from the French General range Lumière de Noël.
Each little pillow measures 3 1/2" square.
Tell me what you think and I'll pick someone out to win a copy.

Hey Jo! Good on you! I'm with Fee ... why not give it a shot! Designing may not always be the easiest thing to do and sometimes its hard to describe what you've done when you just do it without thinking, but when you see someone enjoy making your pattern and thrilled that THEY have created something, it's all worthwhile! And your little cushions are so darn cute that I reckon the pattern will be popular. Have fun! Bear Hugs! KRIS
I think that you have done a great job and chosen something small and achievable for you and the stitcher. Your work is always so beautifully stitched, the colours blend and your choice of projects is appealing. It seems only natural that you would move into design. Hope this is the first of many. Congratulations.
V Cute - I am a big fan of small/quick projects...well done...!
These are just adorable, Jo - clever you! I think little projects are a wonderful way to start your design career and there are so many people out there who are more likely to start and finish something small than start on a big potential UFO or not do anything at all. Have fun at the show and I hope these patterns sell like hot cakes.
LOVE THEM!!!
