Thank-you

Thank-you to everyone who left me birthday wishes! I had a lovely weekend.
I spent some time on Saturday sitting and chatting with my dear friend Fee while she was having her hair done. Fee's having an operation this morning on her right hand, so there'll be no stitching for a four weeks while she recovers. I gave her a pile of girly movies to watch and while away the hours. Goodluck Fee, I hope it goes well!

I then went off on a little birthday splurge, bought myself some new clothes and a DVD I've wanted since forever, BBC's Pride and Prejudice with the ever gorgeous Colin Firth as Mr Darcy.

So you can probably guess what I did the rest of the weekend, yes I stitched and watched the whole series.

Happy belated birthday darling!!!!!

Oh sweetie, P&P (that BBC adaptation) is one of my faves. I was at a soccer match last year and my friend said, "Oh look Vik, it's Colin Firth!" Well - I was off my chair like a rocket running in his general direction, my friend trying to call me back... eventually, having not spotted Colin I headed back to be told by my friend that he's got it wrong, it was Colin Hayes from Men at Work!!!! I was SO disappointed!!!! Not sure what I would have done if I'd have seen the lovely Mr Firth up close - but I didnt' even think that far - I was off like a rat up a drainpipe! LOL

Hugs gorgeous girl!!!! Vikki xoxox
ps. what a lovey friend you are darling!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Went on a site visit with your man today and he said, "Jo spent Saturday night stitching and watching some Pride and Prejudice thing on TV - I didn't join her"! Sounds like a perfect weekend to me (certainly beats studying for my Masters - yuck).

What a nice thing you have done for your friend, Fee. I hope all goes well with her hand operation.

Ooooh, I love the 'Pride and Prejudice' series......and yes, Colin firth is one of the reasons! I should listen to them/watch them while I stitch this week...
If you like P & P you should watch 'Lost in Austen'; a real fun adaptation (?) of it...absurd, but oh, still with Jane's humor.

Now that scene where Mr Darcy comes out of the water dripping wet caused an uproar when shown here in England. Made Colin Firth an overnight sensation!!! He will forever be known as Mr Darcy. Gotta go get my copy out and watch again and swoon.
