A Win and a card

Look at the gorgeous buttons waiting for me when I arrived home on Friday!

They are by the extremely creative Barb of Theodora Cleave. She handpaints every single one of them. I was lucky enough to win these as part of a giveaway where I had to guess how many buttons she had painted in the last month. My guess of 2250 fell short by 740 but was the closest. Barb must truly love her art!
Now I'll have to decide where and when I'll use these beautiful embellishments.
Thank-you so much Barb, I never expected to recieve so many but what a lovely surprise!!

I also wanted to show you a card I made for a dear friend, it took me ages but I loved the result!

How very lucky you were to win those lovely buttons. I met Marg Low on Saturday at the Quilt Airing in Violet Town and bought a few buttons and patterns to keep me busy. Not that I need more things to do. But as they say, If you don't use it you lose it! The card will be a very special gift. Well done.

If you are going to the Quilted Crow gathering, you could use the buttons on one of Marg's projects. Your card is beautiful.

The buttons are lovely, but I know I'd be hard pressed to come up with something to use them on. I hope you're more creative than I am. Clearly you are, because that card is absolutely beautiful.
