Blogscraping

Have you heard of Blogscraping? Well it's time you should. There's unscrupulous folk out there stealing blogposts and putting them on their own blogs to make money! Karen @ Sew Many Ways has experienced this first hand and has written two posts, one here to explain what it is and one here on a solution.  I will in future be truncating my posts to ensure the protection of my content and also my own reputation.
Update: I did a google on blogscraping and there are programs available to do the searches. They work by looking for exact word matches, thankfully i didn't find any of my blogs but it' s not a full search you'd have to pay more for a more advanced search. Here's the link here
Fingers crossed they haven't used your site!

I have never heard of this practice but how do you know if it is happening to you? The links you provided never explained fully. It is all very worrying. First people nick your posts and have even found a way of removing watermarks and now this. Blogging should be all about having fun and enjoying each others blogs. If I'm interested in a blog I would do the extra click. Hugs Mrs A.
