Thrifty Thursday

I've quite come to enjoy visits to the tip shop and walking around thinking "How could I use this and that and looking for creative solutions to my storage problems.
I love the clip-it up systems and just can't afford to buy one at the moment but I've created an alternate solution.
I took these three items I found at my local tip shop....
and turned them into this
I added a long nut and a few bolts but it still needs a bit of tweaking so I can get it to rotate but I'm half way there.
I've also added a rail on a cupboard and made a few plastic hangers to store some pretty ribbons and I've got lots more to hang yet
I'm really happy with how this spot is starting to look
Have you come up with some good storage solutions if so please let me know!

Very clever!
It's not storage but I picked up to red/white cups before Christmas and displayed them with a tealight in each as Christmas Decorations.

Wonderful ideas Jo! I love the way you can look at things in an "out of the box" sort of way and create something new to serve a purpose. Well done! Hugs to you, -Cori

Aren't you clever ! Does hiding too much fabric from you know who count as a storage solution ?

I love tips that have a tip shop. We don't have one here ... yet! Very clever, and so many uses for other people's old junk.

Hi Jo,

I think I have that candleholder too, purchased many years ago and used when ever there is a blackout. Love your storage ideas.

Clever idea it's fun to make things from bit ans pieces. It is very rewarding to see them come together. I like your nice tidy sewing room it puts mine to shame.
